Students preparing for college

Times have changed since parents of teenagers graduated from high school or applied to college!

Many parents are not familiar with most of the application terms we see like College Board, Common App, Early Action, Early Decision, CO Free Day, supplemental essays, test-optional, test-recommended, superscoring, FAFSA, CSS and the list goes on. Beyond terminology, the to-do list and timeline before, during, and after completing college applications can feel overwhelming!

We are here to help you and your high schooler navigate the process and not break the bank in the process. Golden Tutoring believes that providing high schoolers with the individual support they need as they prepare for and apply to college does not have to be impossible! We are thrilled to bring more affordable help to our community’s college-bound (and tech school-bound) students and families.

When might your teen need help preparing for college?

Does your high schooler avoid you when you bring up topics related to college?

Has your teen expressed interest in going to college but doesn’t know where to start and honestly, neither do you?

Have you noticed that your high schooler is super stressed out about most things that relate to being admitted to colleges?

Maybe they need a college counselor!

Is your teen struggling to prep on their own for the SAT and/or the ACT?

Did your high schooler not do as well as they had hoped on the PSAT or their first time taking the SAT?

Maybe they need an SAT/ACT prep tutor!

Is your high schooler burned out and overwhelmed with everything they need to do related to their college essays and application(s)?

Does your 12th grader think that their college essays are just fine and doesn’t want a parent, teacher, tutor, or counselor to provide any feedback?

Maybe they need a college essay coach!
