Amity
Upon graduating from Wheaton College, Norton, MA, with a double major in English and French, Amity launched a career in journalism at Fairchild Publications in New York City. Since then, she has traveled throughout North America and Europe writing for various national, regional, and local publications. She is president of Moore Words Inc., which specializes in writing, editing, and developing content for business-facing and consumer-facing clients. She puts her real-world writing experience (everything from articles to white papers) to work with her students, helping them strengthen their writing foundations, creative thinking, and organizational skills. Amity’s intention is to help students achieve their goals by boosting their confidence and providing them with tools to excel in school and in life. Executive functioning, for example, extends well beyond the classroom. In her free time, Amity enjoys spending time with her husband (a 7th grade ELA teacher) and her two sons (18 years apart), reading, and getting outside as much as possible.
