Michelle P.
Michelle brings over twenty years of teaching experience with students from ages K-12 and has primarily worked with learners at the secondary level. Michelle earned her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Regis University. During her undergraduate studies, she also attended the Institute of Modern Languages at the Universidad de Granada in Granada, Spain. She holds a Master’s of Education in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in cultural and linguistic diverse education through the University of Colorado Denver. Michelle is passionate about teaching Spanish and loves it when she sees her students have their “aha moment” and the learning clicks for them. She is a member of the American Association of Spanish and Portuguese Teachers and was on the Spanish curriculum writing team for her school district. She’s also traveled to Mexico and Costa Rica and hopes to get to another destination soon!
In addition to Spanish, Michelle also helps her students with executive functioning skills and strategies to help them stay organized and successful in school. Her extensive experience in the classroom provides her with a tremendous toolbox of strategies and ideas that allow her to help all kinds of students. When she is not in the classroom, you can find her gardening, hiking, trying a new recipe, or spending quality time with her family and friends.
