Julie
Julie has a degree in secondary education from Texas A&M University. Her early teaching career was in middle and high school as an English teacher, and more recently, she worked for REI. Julie helped establish the community garden at Shelton Elementary School and has been a substitute teacher at Jeffco. Most recently she has been working at a Jeffco elementary school as a high dosage reading tutor. She is familiar with Jeffco's teaching methods and priorities. Julie has familiarity with the Orton-Gillingham method and Jeffco diagnostic testing. She also has Jeffco materials at her fingertips! Julie understands the connection between early reading intervention and student success. As a fellow parent, she relates to a parent’s desire to accelerate their child’s reading abilities. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, being with her family, and exploring the outdoors in our beautiful state.
