Holly
As an educator with 27 years of experience with Jefferson County Public Schools, Holly is so excited to be part of the Golden Tutoring team and can’t wait to work with your child. Holly is a dedicated literacy tutor for students in grades 3–5, with a passion for helping children grow into confident readers and writers. Her career includes classroom teaching and intervention tutoring for students in Jefferson County Public Schools. She also worked as an instructional coach and literacy coach mentoring new and veteran teachers.
Supporting students with reading comprehension, vocabulary, phonics as needed, and writing skills, Holly’s sessions are engaging using age-appropriate strategies. Holly’s lessons are structured and fun,focusing on building strong foundational skills while boosting confidence and motivation. She believes every child can succeed with the right support, encouragement, and personalized instruction. Holly tailors lessons to each student’s learning style and needs, providing clear guidance and positive reinforcement. Her goal is to help students improve academically and show growth. Holly is familiar with Jefferson County Public Schools’curriculum and resources, as well as district and state standardized and district assessments including Dibels, MAP and CMAS.
Holly graduated from Colorado Christian University with honors obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She also earned a masters degree in integrating the arts and technology into curriculum.
Outside of tutoring, Holly enjoys spending time with family, her new puppy and friends. She is hoping to start writing a children’s book and loves reading outside on her deck. As a native of Colorado, Holly appreciates the beautiful mountains, nature and trails and loves to hike, raft and camp.
