Rebecca
Rebecca holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a Master of Education in Science and a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education K-8. She also holds a Professional Colorado Teacher License K-6 and a Colorado Principal License K-12. Rebecca has served as a dean of students, a reading specialist, gifted and talented teacher, and taught each grade level from kindergarten to 8th grade. She has over twenty-five years of experience in public, private, and charter schools across five states.
Her extensive experience with scholars who have an advanced learning plan (ALP), 504, individualized learning plan (IEP), and/or are a multi-language learner (MLL), or twice exceptional (e2), equips her with the knowledge, training, and experience to tutor students. Rebecca is trained in Trauma Informed Care and also has extensive experience with students diagnosed with attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiance disorder (ODD), autism, traumatic brain injuries, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders, hearing impairments, vision impairments, dyslexia (reading difficulties), dyscalculia (math difficulties), and dysgraphia (writing difficulties).
Rebecca believes all students can learn and deserve high quality, differentiated instruction. She approaches tutoring as an individualized approach, recognizing that each student has unique strengths and needs. She is dedicated to helping each student unlock their potential in reading, writing, math, phonics, and organizational skills. She partners with learners to build both confidence and competence, supporting them through every stage of their academic growth and challenge.
