Rose Auferio is currently a gifted and talented Teacher at Denver Language School, a charter school in Denver Public Schools. Prior to this experience she was an assistant principal for five years and a middle school math teacher for ten years. She has taught everything from sixth grade math through algebra 2. She graduated from Temple University with a teaching degree in Secondary Science Education and later received a masters degree in Educational Psychology. She also went to the Principal Institute for her Principal Licensure.

Rose has been married for 25 years, has three wonderful children and two beautiful dogs. She loves when the weather is just right so she can take her dogs for long walks especially in Golden (one of her favorite places in the world). She loves to devour as many books as possible and usually has herself immersed in more than one at a time.
