Elizabeth has been teaching in Jeffco Public Schools for eighteen years and has a master’s degree from Regis University in elementary education with a focus on emerging readers. She has been trained in Orton Gillingham, Really Great Reading, Fundations phonics, and Into Reading. Teaching literacy is her passion, although she also very much enjoys working with students in math and science. Elizabeth has worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds and differing needs and is most proud of the number of elementary-aged students she has been able to take off of “READ Plans” throughout the years. She enjoys setting students up for success using authentic tasks and engaging lessons. Elizabeth lives in Golden and loves drawing, running, playing games, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with her family.
