We offer convenient, effective, individualized, and top-notch tutoring and enrichment to students in Golden and the west Denver community. We are a local company and have a passion for supporting Jefferson County students (now also offering virtual tutoring to students everywhere!). In addition to private tutoring, we offer in-person and virtual small group tutoring (see “Tutoring Options” and “Tutoring Cost and Policies” for more info).

In an effort to mitigate the tremendous inequities in our West Denver community, Golden Tutoring & Enrichment, LLC is doing our best to make tutoring more accessible to lower-income families by discounting rates, waiving fees, and providing workshop scholarships to students in need. We are also working directly with Jeffco School District and the non-profit A Precious Child to help fund high-quality tutoring for students in need.

We hope to have a more formal non-profit program in place in 2023 so that we can help more students in our beloved west Denver community while still paying our hard-working and professional tutors their fair and competitive hourly wages.

We continue to adapt to this ever-changing world we live in and meet your student’s needs! We know that the last two and a half years have been challenging for both students and parents. We are here to help bridge any gaps, build confidence, ease anxiety, and problem solve so that your student can reach her/his/their academic goals. We offer the following tutoring options:

    • Private or semi-private sessions are designed to meet your student’s specific needs and can be in-person or virtual.
    • More affordable small group tutoring in nearly every subject area can reignite your student’s desire to learn, increase motivation, and provide an opportunity to learn with peers. (Please let us know if you have a group of students who are interested in working together.)
    • Outdoor in-person tutoring when weather permits.
    •  The length of tutoring sessions varies and depends upon your student’s age, needs, and attention span. Most in-person sessions are 50-60 minutes long. If a tutor drives to a student’s home, sessions are generally not shorter than 60 minutes. We also offer shorter, more frequent virtual sessions/check-ins (10-30 minutes) for students who benefit from briefer and more frequent sessions.
    • We are committed to helping students thrive and being as flexible and receptive as possible!

Tutoring commitment:

  • For best results, we ask that students and parents commit to regularly scheduled weekly (or biweekly) tutoring. We have a minimum commitment of 3 sessions (decreased from 4 before the pandemic).
  •  We offer both long- and short-term tutoring.
  • The minimum frequency is bi-monthly (or every other week).

Our tutoring costs are competitive and depend upon a tutor’s education, credentials, certifications, and level of experience. We maintained our 2019 pricing through August 2021 in order to help families through the pandemic. On Sept 1, in both 2021 and 2022, our tutors received a well-deserved $2-3/ hour raise of which they receive 100% of the increase.

  • Private tutoring rates vary from $38 – $65 per hour.
  • Semi-private rates vary from $57 – $97 per hour (for highly differentiated semi-private tutoring).
  • Partial hour sessions are prorated at each tutor’s hourly rate.
