Golden Tutoring and Enrichment, LLC began in January of 2012 when Cindy Pearson decided to use her teaching skills and sixteen years of classroom experience to help students in her beloved community of Golden, Colorado. Cindy loves working with children of all ages and saw a need for local tutors who share a similar educational philosophy, excellence in teaching and love of children and teens. She is excited to team up with teachers, principals, parents, students, and other local tutors to foster a stronger community of learners. Thanks to strong interest and support, her business has also included MATHrive™ Workshops in four different Golden area schools as well as engaging Summer Boost Camps, SAT/ACT Prep Workshops and Literacy Launch™ Workshops (none except for the SAT Workshop have been active since Winter 2020 due to the pandemic).

For the last eleven years, Golden Tutoring has primarily served Golden and its surrounding areas including Arvada, Lakewood, Morrison, Green Mountain, Wheatridge, Genesee and Littleton.  Due to the pandemic and the need to tutor virtually, we now have expanded our reach to students all over the United States! We look forward to continuing to serve students in our community and beyond.

In an effort to mitigate the tremendous inequities in our West Denver community, Golden Tutoring & Enrichment, LLC is doing our best to make tutoring more accessible to lower-income families by discounting rates, waiving fees, and providing workshop scholarships to students in need. We hope to have a more formal non-profit program in place by 2024 so that we can help more students in our beloved west Denver community while still paying our hard-working and highly professional tutors their hourly wages.

We believe that every student can reach his/her/their full potential and be successful in school. When a student, parent, and tutor work professionally, cooperatively, and positively, tremendous progress is possible!

Our goal is to help every student feel confident, knowledgeable, empowered, and resourceful. We strive to impart a love of learning to each of our clients and strongly believe in challenging students to think in new, enlightening, and productive ways. Our experience has shown that finding the right balance of support and challenge can turn a struggling learner into a confident and thriving student. Similarly, we know that a professional and personable tutor (or executive functioning skills coach) can redirect a seemingly apathetic or “lost” learner toward a more positive and successful path. We also believe that all students must become strong problem solvers and self-advocates in order to succeed in school and later in adult life.

In order to achieve our goal of helping every student feel confident, knowledgeable, empowered, and resourceful, we have to be extremely capable, knowledgeable, curious, positive, and observant educators. We honor diverse learning styles, backgrounds, learning challenges, and areas of strength while being sensitive and aware of cultural differences. As we get to know your child/teen and build rapport, we discover the instructional methods that work best for him/her/them and maximize learning during every session. Critical thinking, self-advocacy, and study skills are also interwoven into our sessions so that each of our clients develops these essential life-long skills.
